We woke up for breakfast - toast and plain porridge. Then used the free internet to check mail. Then we packed up, checked out and boarded the small bus to the airport. Halfway, we changed to the bigger Free Go (Fei1 Go3) bus to the airport. It was about 50 min to the airport. There was nothing much to buy after we checked in, but the Dior Pure Poison perfume hooked me on. However, I thought it was too expensive. So didn't buy in the end.
We reached HK and took an hour to check out. There was quite a lot of people despite our not-so-full flight. We took bus A11 to North Point where our hotel was. Then it started to rain very heavily. It was worsened by the peak jam. We took nearly 1.5 hr to get from the airport to North Point. There was heavy jam man!!!!!
We then checked into our room and the room was very very small! What a big contrast to the rooms in Taiwan!! Furthermore, there were no toiletries provided except towel and handsoap. And there was no mineral water nor electric kettle! Argh! In the end, we bought a 6-litre mineral water back from Wellcome (analogous to our NTUC). The room had a small built-in TV and mini wardrobe. Super small room!!
We had dinner nearby our hotel. We had Shao1 Wei4. We ordered half a roasted duck, you2 cai4 and 3 bowls of rice. The duck was $60, vege was $12 and the 3 bowls of rice for $18!! It was the most expensive rice I've ever eaten!! Poor JH had no choice but to finish her bowl of rice. Haha!! First time see her ate the whole bowl of rice!! Well done gal!! The roasted duck was very good. Then we walked around looking for yum cha place in the rain. Need to sleep liao. Tom need to wake up early for yum cha!!!
