Violin Bow

Oh GOSH! I spent $800 for a violin bow! The original price was $1200! My conductor managed to reduce the price to $800! It's very good! A European bow... the weight is good... evenly distributed! Spiccato can be done much more easily! And most important of all, notes can be played without much effort! The notes just come out loh! The tone is nice and purer... feel good playing with my new bow! Mind set to play for the concert in Oct!

Next is a new violin! WAHAHAAHAA!

Happy 24th Birthday

Long time no post. It seems that it has gone dormant. Don't worry. I'm just very busy. Practicum started and I've been busy everyday... preparing lessons and typing lesson plans. Sigh. To think of these, I've skipped strings like 3 times already. I wonder whether it will be worse when the final posting is out.

I passed my 24th birthday last Monday. I didn't had celebrations, neither did I eat my own birthday cake. I didn't go out because I simply couldn't take time off from work. It's terrible that I'm working 18 hours daily. Even Sat and Sun, I'm working. I'm glad I'm posted to a good school as there wasn't serious discipline cases I have to worry about. Back to my birthday, hmm... this year as usual, I'm still single. I wonder if it will be different next year. =(

Thank you all for the birthday presents, especially to my gang... =) And I've got a new electronic tuner for my violin! And it's integrated with metronome! Finally I can be in tune again! I am considering to get the $500 bow. Seriously considering. Let me take the first step towards the $5k violin. I hope I'll make it for the October concert. My mind is finally set after wavering for a few months.
