Senior Camp - Sentosa

OMG! Had my senior camp today at Sentosa. Just reached home like 12 plus midnight. My legs are ache-y. And my eyes are very heavy now. Woke up early this morning to reach Sentosa. Tho' I didn't do much there, but was draining man!

The weather was good today. Tho it rained so heavily in the east, Sentosa was surprisingly cool. Sun only peeped out behind the clouds in the late afternoon. I wore sports shoes there, and was suan-ed by some of my close frens. "Wah, go jogging ar?" Shitty. So I had to explained.
1. No slippers at home
2. No sandals - they're in hall
Hence, what to wear?? Infutriating!

The programmers are more organised this year, with programmes lining up back-to-back, and minimum conflicts and problems. And again, I'm down to try the ghost walk this year. Tho' it always did me no scare, and they knew they can't scare me, but dunno why I always kena it. Sorry Jiehui, haha, really couldn't control myself to laugh at you being the medium along Dragon Trail. Opps. Heng it wasn't raining today or for the past few days. Last year I got sucked by a leech. It was so terribly painful! Hence, give rise to the 3rd reason why I wore sport shoes. *humpf*

The Female (NuYou) magazine had an event at Palawan Beach in the late afternoon. There were hunks and babes contest, free Corona beer, free tatoo, free buffet and goodie bag! Haha. It was quite well-organised. I had a tatoo done on my left arm. Haha. And really many hunks and babes to SEE there.

Ok, mind drifting off already. Really very tired now. Hope for the best for the actual camp!

Aiyoh!

My god! I forgot to do so many things today!! No wonder I could do my theory without any disturbs.

I forgot to call the caterers for my camp!! ARGH! Needed to confirm today but it just slipped my mind. *GRRR*

Cleaning room part 2 (final). They are coming on Sunday. Aiyoh, very busy ar.

Dumpling Festival

Ooo... had home-made chicken rice today! Cos' it's dumpling festival! Wah, always been my fave chicken rice man! We always eat chicken rice on big days cos' it is an offering to my ancestors. Especially with the specially-made "side dish" that goes together with the chicken meat. It originated from my maternal grandma with Hakka roots, and is made of Yan2 Xu1, Cong1 and fried shallots. It's heavenly. But I ate it at 1145pm! Cos' I reached home only then from my String Ensemble practise.

Cleaned and packed my stuff today. Can't stand the messiness in my room. Rearranged some stuff in my drawers and cupboard. But there are so many useless things that I can't bear to throw. Sigh. And there is limited storage space. So the spaces just get more and more packed each time. What the heck.

My grandma and cousin will be coming this weekend for a short stay. Hehe, very happy. Can get to see my cousin. Haha, will have to continue packing my room. Or else they won't have space to stay! Haha!

Leaping

Went to give the third music lesson to my student today at Tanah Merah. The mother requested me to teach her daughter popular songs.

"Popular songs, meaning wat?" was the first thought that came into my mind.

"Get her some popular songs, play and see if she likes it or not. Then if she likes, then teach her. Don't force a song she doesn't like." Was what she roughly said.

Sigh. I once asked my student what she likes to play, she said anything. So I went to photocopy the songs from Winter Sonata - a Korean drama. Erm, she doesn't even watch the show and only have a slight impression of the songs. I mean, how to teach? Those are really very very popular songs amongst the teenagers.

Kind of disheartening, but I think I'm not a fault. The student is of Grade 1 standard and her mother expects me to teach her pop songs. Kind of impossible. No theory background, no technical knowledge, no foundation playing loh. Asking a baby to walk when he can't even crawl. Sigh. Think I have to try my best. Haha, if I succeed, I can come out with a book - The Shortcut to Piano Playing.

One thing I have to learn about life - Defending myself. Everytime when people reprimand me, I only accepted everything even though they were wrong. I was afraid to speak up for myself. Think this is something I should change. I shouldn't think about the other party too much. To survive, one has to be defensive, fake, hypocritical and filled with evil thoughts. The bad always prevails. Muahaha.

Starting to Sweat

Woo... today drove out of circuit liao! Out onto the main roads. Quite stressed at first, cos' more pressure on the public roads. And only the second lesson today, I have to handle such pressure! Haha! Btw, the instructor today was SO MUCH kinder and nicer. Yesterday's one was like sleepy and sian. Today's one very enthusiastic! Haha. And he was really nice to talk to!

Things starting to get confusing. The mirrors, direction signals, changing gears (up to 4th gear today!), pressing clutch, accelerating, braking, traffic lights, looking out for other cars....!!! Oh my god!! My brain getting haywire already!! Need more practise to familiarize with all the steps!!

My legs now achy and shaky. Haha. Got so much stopping today! Cos the car in front of me went so slowly. But overall really quite fun. Next lesson will be one week plus later from today. Cos' can't get a pratical date next week. Sigh. Will try to try on my dad's car. *evil grin*

Went for a Prudential recruitment talk today. Erm, not my williness lar, but due to some reasons. The speaker holds 5 degrees with 2 professions, and boasted that he makes more than $3k a day. Multi-millionaire. If not, I guess he's a billionaire. Duh. Everyone is so money-minded. Yah, they can make big bucks, but don't think they can brainwash me. Left halfway. Not really very interesting to me. Sorry lar. And quite lonely there. My friends (a couple) just treated me like invisible, and my baby who is a part-time staff there, talked to her colleagues more than me. So imagine how I was sitting there like a goondo. And those people who talked to me, so fake loh. Can't stand this kind of hypocrisy. Yucks.

Whee!

Today was the first ever driving lesson of my life. I was kind of excited about it. And was kind of fearful what instructor I would get, and whether I would do stupid stuff. But all turned out to be wonderfully good. Heh, the car didn't even stall once ok! *pat myself* Was really enjoyable driving, though only in the circuit today. Only drove up to gear 2. Looking forward to tomorrow's lesson already!!

Enough of slacking these 2 days. Haven't touched my music theory since Tuesday! Just because my teacher is going Genting next wk, I started to slack! Ok! Start tomorrow!!

AHHHH!!! Hacken's CD is released!!! Yeah!! Guess 2 more weeks, it will get to Singapore!! Can't wait to get my hands on it!!!

一生掛念你

懷抱裡昨日我未淡忘
你不必再說不愛我
忘記你事實我未在行
我不懂說句不愛你
愛過事後不可擁有
我卻自願再逗留

One more try 三番四次不捨得你
One more try

One more try 三番四次不捨得你
One more try 心聲再次交低給你
愛你愛你不肯裝作記不起
我要對你說一生掛念你

其实...其实, 我只想让你知道
我永远都会这样掛念着你.

Oooo!! My New Asset!

Yeah man! Tat's the new discman I got today! Been looking around for a discman tat is able to play MP3 files. And finally I got it today! Hee, a birthday present for myself. Cost $168. Think the price quite reasonable. It comes with FM radio and it can play CRW/CDRW. Hee. Now I can listen to it when I'm on long journeys. And listen to my fave MP3s.

Uploaded some recent pics. There's a link below, but I guess you have to log in to see. Ok, going to be busy. With a lot of stuff coming up. Tom's my Final Theory Test. Hope I can make it this time round!

Campfire

Went for Dunman's LTC 2004 Campfire last night. It was held at MOE May Adventure Centre. Went back to see my juniors and Mr Bernard. Went back with 2 other seniors. Ok lar, haha. But I still think in my times, the standard was better. =P

Been figuring out how to scroll the text in the blog without the background moving together. Any idea how it can be done? I forgot the html command. And I can't find it in my book. Sigh.

Choir Performance

Dunman is having a 10th Anniversary Choir Concert this coming December. I was invited to go back and sing for the concert. The whole thing sounds pretty favourable. Practises on Saturdays, either once a week or twice a month depending on progress. And out of the 10 songs we are going to sing, only need to learn 1 new song. The 9 other songs were songs we sang before.

Well, there might not be another chance to stand on the stage anymore. And the most respectable person - my choir instructor, will be conducting. (Tho' he's very mean and once hurt me till I cried, think he's still considered respectable in the music arena. Haha.) Doesn't it sound all too good?

Time. Do I have the time to commit? With 7 modules + FYP + music exam + driving test, will I be able to cope? And I can't sing as well now, lost the skill already. Furthermore, all my choir good friends are not singing. Only those who seem to be close to me on the surface are participating. Ever since I joined the choir alumni, I've seen through how hypocritical they were. This means I'm going to be quite lonely during practises. And I once vowed never to go back. But... then again, I'm here pondering.

"We might not have this chance to stand on stage again in our life." This phrase keep repeating in my ears. This was how my friend persuaded me. Should I? Dunman taught me time management. Everything is possible, with good time management. Maybe I should take out my time management skills and put them to use again. I have been slacking for 3 years already. And for these 3 years, I have learnt almost nothing - in terms of academic and practical skills. Not comparable to my fruitful secondary school days. Sigh. What should I do?

Headache Again

Been busy these few days trying to finish my music theory. Lotsa books to read on and do.

My headache is still there. Do I have a brain tumour? An artery blocked? Am I dying? Urgh, I just hope it can go away. I can't do anything with my headache!! Is my health failing?

Just now a friend sms me asking me if my birthday is drawing near. Little did I realise it is June now already! I didn't realise till she asked me what I wanted. I guess, as one grows, the significance of birthday decreases. Compared to us when we were like 8 or 9 years old, we would look forward to our birthdays because it would mean a year older and bigger so as to make decisions. But right now, going on 22, I really hope I was 18 everyday. As one grows, we have to shoulder so much more responsiblities and worries. Worries about the future - work, money, family? Haiz. I don't wanna grow old so fast, I'm not prepared!!

What do I want for my birthday? Someone by my side. Don't want a next lonely birthday.

Headache.

KTV Again!!

Wah, went KTV today with some forum people. Hehe, this is the first forum outing I went, been rejecting them since last year. So finally met up with some of them today. (It's some, cos' not all the forum people went. Too many to count.)

Went to the KTV near Tanjong Pagar MRT. Can't remember the KTV name, but it's one of the outlets of PartyWorld. We sang from 2pm till 8pm! Haha. Was quite fun, everybody was friendly. *phew* This was the longest time I ever spent in KTV. Haha. Marathon man!

After so much singing, we walked to Maxwell Market for late dinner. Haha, they even wanted to continue singing!! But eventually we didn't. They went to Coffee Bean at Clark Quay and I went back. Needa get a book back from a friend, and my brother asked me to go home for majong session. Haha. BUT!! I got cheated. My younger brother didn't want to play. So here I am sitting in front of my laptop blogging. Urgh.

Very sleepy now. Going to turn in early. Tomorrow have to pia music theory again. Lesson on Monday.

Hey Yew Gie, all the best for your NS! Jia you wor! Meanwhile, I will look out for more gals for you. Haha.

Feeling....Hungry and Sleepy

Haha... Ok... Just put up the link for some soothing music. A friend suggested some classical music while reading is better... so here it is. Will go look for more soothing tunes. =)

Been playing majong these days. Lost $8 today. No luck. But think getting addicted to it. Shit.

On top of that, been doing my music theory all these days. Pia-ing for exam on 30th October 2004. So much to read on the history of instruments, orchestral and techniques. But very interesting.

Headache these few days. Worse when I start to think and do my work. Suspecting my glasses being overpowered. My glasses are quite new, just made them last September. And cost me $300. Didn't know my astig increased so fast and my short-sightedness decreased. Sigh. Maybe go back Malaysia and make another pair. Much more cheaper there. Hee.

Ok... time to sleep. Nearly 3am already!! My god! How time flies when I'm doing work.

Bugged

Can't stand those Prudential people standing in your way when you are rushing for time. Especially when they stop you in the middle of the road, blocking everyone's path. And there are all over Singapore, and I've always been bugged by them.

"Sorry, I'm not working." That is my standard reply. Next time when you go out and don't wanna get bugged, remember to dress casually, so that they won't mistaken you as a working adult.

Worst thing is one of my seniors is working as one of them and keeps calling me now and then bugging me to sign up for Savings Plan. I told him, "Hey, I'm not working, how do you expect me to save?"

"It's possible. Nothing is impossible. Come out and have lunch together?"

"Sorry, I'm not free. I'm outside. Talk another day."

Urgh. Can't stand it!

What Do You Truly Desire?

DesireLove
Love. You Truly Desire Love. You long for someone to hold you and take the pain away. You haven't been in much relationships or you need to work on how to handle them. You always seem lost in a daydream about the person you care about most.

Monday Blues

Went to catch The Day After Tomorrow today. Didn't expect the show to be not-so-great. Expected it to be something more spectacular. And I've got a lot of question marks about the show. Maybe that's what they called the "Climate Shift". Wouldn't want to live in Ice Age, cos' I can't stand coldness. Think hotness is still more bearable than coldness.

Later in the afternoon went to Office of Finance to pay for my review of my papers. Saw 3 freshies and they asked me for directions to School of Business. Haha... I was in a rush to reach the stupid office before 4pm, and I think I didn't really explain well to them. Hah, cos they stood there in a daze. I was like saying "Oh, go straight, turn left and you'll see a big flight of stairs and go down."

"Erm, I can't see the stairs..."

"You have to turn left first..." I replied hastily.

Didn't really pay a lot attention to them cos' the damn office was closing in like 10 minutes time!

After paying, I went to look for my IA supervisor to get back my IA report. But he wasn't in. So suay. Instead met Prof Gan, my MS302 lecturer and tutor. What a disappointment he didn't even have the faintest impression of me, such a hardworking student for his subject. We smiled at each other.

"What are you doing here?"

"Oh, looking for Prof Park to get back my IA report. But he isn't in."

"How come you need to get back your report?" He answered, forever the nerdiness in him that makes him so cute and lovable. Muahaha. (Hey, he's young and smart, Associate Prof leh, has lotsa admirers... but I think he's married. All good guys are always taken!!)

"Erm, so that I can keep it." I just anyhow answered him.

"You having IA now?" Dionk! The more I confirmed he doesn't recognise me.

"Nope, I did it in Sem 1."

"Oh ok... see you then!"

*sobz* There goes my fave Prof. Not even an impression of this lousy student. Got D for his subject. *Guilty manz*

Went to get my Ribena at Canteen A. Hey... the western food stall is GONE! Guess what? The NTU students long-awaited McDonald's is FINALLY here!! Haha. Finally NTU has allowed a fast food restaurant to come in! Guess there'll be a BIGGER crowd at Canteen A. =(

Met Yen Teik and his gf at Canteen A. Haha... he asked me to visit his new home at Bishan. So fast, he and his gf have graduated. Still remembered we knew each other in Yr 1 back in 2001. Haiz. How time flies and how I've aged. Haha.

A misty road. A cloudy sky. A bleak future. Help.
