2006 Resolutions

New Year Resolutions:
1. Spend more time with friends and do more shopping
2. Score at least Merit in Grade 8 theory
3. Improve in my violin techniques
4. Do well in NIE
5. Select piano diploma pieces and practise

Another new year is coming. So sian. Hate to age and yet remain stagnant. Tom's going for a mini performance at my piano teacher's place. I will be playing Richard Clayderman's Marriage De Amour (Matrimonio De Amor) and Chopin's Posthumous Nocturne in C Sharp Minor. Hope my fingers will listen to me tom! And cos' I never heard of the recording for Richard Clayderman's song, I went online and download! Cost me USD$0.075! Can't find pirated version le! Bo bian! But at least it isn't expensive. First time paying for legal mp3 download! Haha! Quite affordable actually huh? For those who wants to download legal mp3, visit: http://music.allofmp3.com. Sign up now before 31st Dec can get 20% more value!

After that, will be going to Yvonne's hall for steamboat! Yummy! I love steamboats! Then will be staying over for new year's countdown!

Kueh Pie Tee

Mum made kueh pie tee a few days ago! And here is a picture taken.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I don't like to eat it in the past because they were moist and the fillings wasn't tasty. But this time round, Mum made them herself! She spent the whole day making! From shaving the fillings, frying them and buying the crispy skins. It's quite a lot of work! And I just shoved the whole piece into my mouth. Yummilicious!

New Lappie!

I bought my new lappie at Funan today! Acer TravelMate 3002WTMi Intel Centrino, Pentium M 1.73GHz, 1GB RAM, 80GB HDD, and guess what? It only weighs a feather weight of 1.4kg! My dream lappie! I bought for $2498 + $90 for another upgrade of 512MB RAM to become 1GB. Now I won’t have complains for snail-like startup, slow opening of my word documents and slow shutting down! I traded in my Toshiba lappie. I wonder how much they will offer me. Need to go back on Tue to get the cash back money. The shopkeeper said it would be roughly around $300 to $400. I hope so! Another shop only offered $150.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Compare the size of my waterbottle and the lappie! Opps, if you're wondering what is the thing on the space bar, it's a sticker of a bear head. Haha! And there's a pink flower on the top right hand corner of the screen.

After note 28th Dec: Went Funan again this afternoon. The trade-in was only $220. Well, better than $150 from the previous shop. And went to redemn the freebies. $!00 Metro voucher and another $100 cash! And a wireless mouse. Total nett for the lappie: $2168! Yeah! Good deal earned!

Merry X'mas!

Yay! My first ever Christmas celebration! Lunch with SE people at Pizza Walker in Wisma. The crust is thin and crispy, but I still cannot understand why pizza are expensive!! Just some cheapo dough, and sprinkle toppings. It’s minimum effort and toppings are sparse! So why the price?! So I only enjoy pizzas during Pizza Hut’s pizza buffet! Hehe! After that, there was cutting of a nice hazelnut log cake! But the manager forbid us to eat it inside his restaurant! What the heck? I’ve never met this kind of crap before! They said it’s to prevent complications should there be any cases of food poisoning. So in the end, we stood outside the restaurant munching on the log cake. It was a very nice piece of hazelnut log cake! Delicious!

At Pizza Walker

Crowd crowd crowd! Everywhere is people! Made worse with the rain. Luckily it stopped or else the crowd would be worse. We headed to Lido to catch King Kong at 550pm. It was an ok show. I won’t say it’s fantastic. The audience are so noisy! Even during the show, it’s a bit noisy. After the 3 hour plus show, we went to the basement to have Mac dinner and sat there for more than half an hour for YT to walk from Heeren to Lido! Ok, crowd crowd crowd!

We took the escalator down and 5 teenagers are playing violin and violas! Though they are not pros, but I think they make a good effort! Hehe.

We walked over to Orchard Bolevard to take a cab to Mohd Sultan. Cars cars cars! KY even scolded a taxi driver for choosing his passengers. I was shocked by that move. Eventually, we hopped onto a taxi and the taxi driver was quite hostile-looking. Maybe of the bad traffic. We reached our destination and went into En Lounge. Nice place. Nicest music I’ve heard in the pubs I’ve went to. I had Lust cocktail, 3 tequila shots and a little Calsberg beer. And Khan Horng treated us the drinks. Feel very bad cos’ they’re not cheap. Was quite dizzy after the 3 tequila shots, but felt better after a while. I wonder why I always lose in these kind of games. Grrr… But YT and KY had their fair share of losing too. HAHA! KH drank the least. He kept winning. Just before the pub closed, KH found 2 bottles of snow spray! Haha, the fun followed. And I think the snow is very good, cos’ it is not sticky and doesn’t leave anything on your skin after it evaporates. But there’s a smell that is quite irritating after a while.

After all the drinks, we look like this... RED!

We left the place for tao huey in Geylang after the pub closed at 3am. Reached home about 4am, and slept at 5am. Gosh, woke up at 10am! Cos’ parents are at home and can’t sleep later than 10am. Sigh. Yawn!

Is this the end?

Last netball duty of my life, hopefully. I told the girls that I am leaving the school, and they went, “Huh? Cher, how come didn’t tell us earlier? We could have bought many gifts for u! Cher, where u stay? We deliver the gifts to u!”

So sweet right? But I didn’t tell them la. But they say they will knock every door on my block. Ya right, I don’t believe they will do that.

Here are the pictures of the staff room. And my cosy workstation.

Turn left upon entering the pantry are our seats.

My seat. Corner by the wall. Sleep also nobody can see! HAHA!

Then I went to Dhoby Ghaut to meet my friend. He treated me Fish and Co. and movie because I introduced a tuition kid to him. Surprisingly, the fish and chips were not bad, cos’ I don’t really have a good impression of Fish and Co. We watched Perhaps Love at PS. It had been a really long time since we last seen each other, think more than one and a half year. He is the same guy mentioned in the blog entry - A Happy Day Dated 23rd April 2001.

Stupid Bus!

The bus didn’t come to fetch the netball girls today at 650am! I tried calling the teacher-in-charge but her hp wasn’t on! Having to reach Kallang Netball Court by 730am, I made the decision and asked the girls to take cab down and take receipts. I will claim from the transport company! What the heck!

The friendly matches ended at 1115am. The bus is supposed to come at 12 noon to pick us up. But it wasn’t there again!!!!! In the end, we all took buses back.

Called up the transport company a few days later and luckily they let me make the claims without asking much. Must be they felt it was their fault!

First Bonus!!

Bonus day! I’ve got roughly 0.77 month salary bonus! Yeah! More money added to my bank account!

Met up with David and Yuhua at Sakae, Wheelock’s Place to celebrate their birthdays. While waiting for Yuhua to arrive, and to break the usual silence, I just casually asked David what he does during weekends. He said nothing much. So I asked, “Then what did you do yesterday? (It was a Sat yesterday)”
“Go out loh.”
“Go out with girlfriend ar?” I quipped.
“Ya….” He replied without thinking. Then can see him start to sweat.
“WHAT? DUN LIE LA, SAY THE TRUTH!”
“REALLY…”
I just can’t believe my ears! David is attached! And the girl is from SME! OMG! I just can’t believed it! No stories will be posted here. Yuhua came 15 minutes later into the “finding out” of this status. We all had a good time teasing him. HEHE! David, wish you happiness!!!

Finally packed up all my Uni lecture notes and tutorials. Finally decided to sell them all to the karang guni man. He only gave $2 for this stack. Guess the 3-year bond with MOE doesn’t require those notes right? Thus hence the decision to clear them. Mum had been nagging for very long about the notes in my room.

Genting Trip: 5th - 9th Dec 05

Followed the school band to Genting Highlands for an international band competition. The bus journey started at 7am and was quite ok. Just a mere 8 hours and we were up there on the highland. Unlike the torturous 11hr jouney to Redang! The weather was cooling! Been so many years since I’ve been to Genting, and I must say, it had quite a number of major changes. One biggest change is that the roads up and down Genting are like 3-lane wide each! Imagine the buses don’t need to slow down to make the acute 180 degrees turn!

I shared room with the band conductor. She’s quite a nice lady. The room was super small. I thought it would be bigger. The conductor and I didn’t really communicate much. She woke up earlier than me and came back after I slept.

Food was the same daily and meal-ly. After the second day, we ate out. Tried out “Ah Yi Bao Yu” dim sum. It was ok only. Not very nice la, but I must comment that they use real prawns in Har Gao and Siew Mai! Many dim sum usually fill in more pork than prawns! We also tried the small eateries on the first level. And on the last day, we actually found another place directly under the hotel café selling nicer and cheaper food!!! And more variety somemore!! ARRRR!!! Basically the things there weren’t cheap. It’s like the price in Singapore. So not really worth buying and carrying them back to Sg. But I made a keychain there for RM$30. It’s actually a 2-sided stainless steel surfaces imprinted with my photo and of course…... Hacken’s photo! HAHA!

The trip there was relaxing. The kids are very nice and obedient. They didn’t create trouble nor gave any nonsense. And the teachers us, had quite a lot of free time. So I practically walked every inch of the shopping mall! But dunno why still can miss out the food court!!! And no, I didn’t go to the theme park. I’m scared of heights! Haha!

These pictures are taken in the shopping mall.

The competition had quite prestigious judges from Thailand, Japan and Singapore. But the teams that came, were only from Singapore and Malaysia. Somemore the good teams didn’t join this competition. And I think it’s ironic to call it an international competition. The band got a Gold Award eventually. But I don’t really see the competition as good as SYF.

Packed up the feelings and came back to SG. A teacher came running to me literally once I got off the bus. Are you thinking she’s missing me? Yes! Missing me because I can now cover duties for her! Sigh. I haven’t even settled down with the kids and all the bags are still in a mess. In the end, I covered her duty. She should feel glad.

Will be away...

Yesterday was the first string practise after about 2 months of break. But not many people turned up, and there wasn't electricity at Nanyang House, plus we were practising at the lounge. It was so noisy because the band people were there. Grrr... how many rooms do they need? First they occupy the music room, now they occupy the function room and the music room. What are they thinking?

First thing after I sat at the usual seat, the conductor asked,"Still not willing to change your violin?"

!!!!!!!!

"No money la!" I replied. He only smiled back. Then I continued,"My violin really that bad meh?"

"A bit loh!"

SIGH. Means I won't be able to improve with my current violin. But where got money to buy violin? Unless I sell away my piano?! NoOOoooo! I was a bit disheartened upon hearing this. I was the only Violin I there. It was a good thing I practised before going. Managed to do the parts quite ok. Phew.

Going Genting tomorrow and will only be back on Friday. No, not on a holiday trip. It's a school trip with the band kids. I hope nothing bad will happen during the trip.

A Happy Day Dated 23rd April 2001

I was packing through some stuff today and found this printed-out email when I was working at I Bee Am. I was sharing the story with a few colleagues there while temping. A very happy day that day cos' of a guy. Here's to share that email with you before I throw it away. Hopefully Blogspot doesn't shut down. My previous blog was terminated after the trial period, and I didn't have a backup for that. SIGH. Here's the email (typed out exactly as in the email):

Hahaah...it's Tale-Time!
Yesterday, I went to have dinner with him, as well as to see him off. Hehehhe..
The story goes like this:
- Saturday night, 21st April 2001, he SMS me asking whether I want to go along with him to buy his army stuff - bath powder
- Sunday morning, 22nd April 2001, 7+ am he SMS me, saying he fell asleep last night so didn't reply me. So I asked what time he wanted to go and buy. He said ASAP. But he didn't know what type of powder and don't know where sell. So he said he go ask around. Thought he would msg back, but waited till 11+ am, no reply. Coincidentally, my friend called, so shun bian ask her what type of powder that was. Then I sms him to tell him.
- He said he know liao. So I asked whether still need me to go with him. He said no need. His house there got supermarket. So instead he asked,"But do you want to see me off?"
- So I replied,"You want to see me is it? ... etc" But he didn't reply to this question. So in the end, I met him at Pasir Ris White Sands foodcourt for dinner.
- So met him, he told me about his life inside the army, his whole body aching la, bla bla... u know what? Oh ya, the significant part was he actually told me that he wouldn't be bringing his handphone to the 6-day field camp. So kind of hinted me that he wouldn't be messaging me for the rest of the week. Then he said if he msg me on Wed, meant that he had got hurt, bitten by scorpion!! Hahah!
- After finishing dinner, we went to the interchange to sit and talk. Btw, he suggested that. Hehe..
- Talked about camp, school, work...etc...bla bla...
- Then one of his bunk mates arrives. (He meeting his bunk there, he was earliest there). His name was Federick.
- So the first question Federick asked was, "Ta shi shui? Ni de mei mei? Heng xiang ni leh..."
- He replied,"Bu shi la... wo de fren."
- Federick continued,"Zhen de heng xiang ni leh!!!" He and I were stunned. We are not alike at all loh!! Confused Confused!!
- He then said,"Peng you la!!"
- Federick asked,"Nu peng you?"
- HE answered,"Peng you er yi lah!!"
- Federick turned to asked me,"Ni shi bu shi ta de nu peng you?"
- I answered,"Bu shi lah!!" Wah lao, he real chang qi!
- Federick then mumbled something to him that I can't hear quite clearly. But heard him saying,"...bu yao embarass ni..."
- After Federick finally understood we were just friends, he asked HIM,"Oh... na ge ni mei tian da dian hua de na ge ah?"
- He,"Bu shi la, wo na li you da dian hua? Wo msg er yi la."
- Federick," Shi meh? Msg er yi ah? Na ni mei tian da gei shui?"
- He,"Wo mei you da dian hua la!! Msg er yi!!!" So Federick also realised/noticed HE every night also messaging that someone la? And it was me all the while? Damn happy!! Hahahahah~~~~
- Then he received a call. He was asked to get black trash bags as he was early there. So we walked to NTUC. But along the way, met more of his bunk mates. It was quite a large group by the time we walked to the MRT entrance. They were talking loh... and I was like a bit extra there. So I called him and told him that I go off first, but hor, he turned back and stood real close to me. Then my hand got brush across his arm...those feeling...hmm...u know la! So he said bye bye.
- I bye bye him also la then asked him to xiao xin. Then he said,"Xi wang xia ge xin qi ke yi kan dao ni..."
- I wanted him to repeat... so I said,"Huh?"
- He replied,"Xi wang ni xia ge xin qi kan dao wo de shi hou bu shi zai yi yuan."
- I said "Choy! Bu hui de la! Ni bu hui you shi de!"
- Then the bye bye and the bye bye. Btw, he was standing very close at those last moments.
- Went home, he sms me saying he would be late for book-in. Then I replied.. bla bla.. impt part was I asked him whether I really looked older than him. He replied," No la, you look younger ok?" Not sincere enough....
- Then he sms saying that he would help me scold that guy. And said he knew I feel hurt. Hahah! So I told him don't scold the guy. After some days, I'll forget. But he didn't reply after this.
- At about 11pm, he sms saying,"This is the last time I SMS you for the week. Good night and take care" Hmmmm... so sweet...

Thank you for your time to read this. Pls feel free to voice out comments! =)

****End of Email*****

Wah so long, hehe, sorry for the poor english. At that moment, just wanted to convey the thoughts out, and was typing out very fast. Now I think I want to keep the printed email afterall! Haha. Cos' there are also replies from my colleagues. Sweet right? That was so long ago! After so many years, I believe he liked me that that time. Right now, he's still studying, but we're still in contact. I intro some tuition kids to him, and he wanted to treat me for dinner, but I rejected recently cos I was too busy with my stuff. I also know we won't be a pair, cos' he wants financial stability before getting attached. Somemore, he wants to go overseas to work after he grads. So? Conclusion: A Happy Memory.

Pains and Aches

Went to sign the TTA today. It went successful except the personnel there wasn't too friendly. And saw Nicole and Bryan and perhaps her sis there too! Nicole is going to become a teacher too! She's teaching Maths and CPA! So glad to see her again after a year plus, and glad that Bryan and her are still together!! *Clap clap*

After that, we went Congress in Suntec for our brunch. I had wanton mee. It is SUPER oily. Cost me $3.80. And the taste was ok only. My mum over-rated it. JH and CP had prata. CP said it's quite normal. Over-rated again. Anyway, the wanton mee wasn't filling.

Then we took bus 36 to East Coast Park. There I had my first blading session of 2 hours. After I got into the smelly pair of blades and guards, it started pouring and we had to seek shelter at a nearby tent. Luckily, the rain stopped 15 mins later. We then proceeded to the Newbies' Corner. Haha, there I had my first fall. Then a second. Then a third. We tried the roads during the remaining half hour. CP and JH went ahead of me. But JH said I was not bad already on my first try. Then had countless number of falls, and one of them was especially hard on my butt. I still din manage to cross the humps today. Sigh. Well, there were still a few kind souls that offered to lend a hand upon my falls. HAHA. My back started to ache a bit and I couldn't balance myself at the end, and ended up falling and falling. Sigh. It was quite a relieve after taking off the blades. But cheers, I must say I did quite well! HEHE. We proceeded to Mac for drinks and also to meet up with Von.

She came by cab, and we went cycling. JH continued to blade. We went really far this time, and I must say I'm impressed with JH's blading skills. HAA. But her left leg started not to take her mind's control, and she removed her blades. Then the dark clouds loomed, and all of us had to hurry back to return our bikes. Silly her was afraid to let me "ferry" her back. She wanted to walk the looooong distance back. But the 3 of us force her to take the lift. Haha, she was so afraid she didn't dare to move or speak while I was cycling. The always poor-stamina me began to pant, and CP took over. We were just in time to get into the shelter before rain began to pour.

We managed to get a cab to Marina Square, which was only $5.30, cheaper than to take bus! After washing up, we had dinner at Dian4 Xiao3 Er4. Long queue even before the shop was opened! We managed to be the first batch of customers to get a table. We had their house speciaties: Shi2 Quan2 Shao1 Ya1 (herbal roast duck), pork ribs and mushroom broccoli. $12 per person. The service was good, food was not bad, but the portion was a bit small.

Then we had coffee at Pacific Coffee cos' GV only left the first 2 rows of seats for Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire. Sat there till 9pm and went home. We were all tired.

A fruitful day, but filled with pain. Think tom will be worse. Hehe.

The Sun is UP, yet I'm not.

It has been raining hard for the past few days. Gloomy skies and wet roads. But LOOK at today! SUNNY AND BRIGHT AND DRY! Ah, the beautiful sun!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

However, I was out at Orchard with Jiehui and Yvonne on Tuesday although it was raining. JH and I met first and went shopping at Wisma. Then we had Sakae at Heeren. I found the restaurant manager very familiar and told JH he might be from the West Mall branch. Before we left to pay at the counter, I actually asked a waitress if he was transferred. And BINGO! He was! JH was stunned by what I did. Then we went to Paragon to look for presents. And guess what we saw:

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

They are actually earrings! And there's a mini switch behind the earrings to turn on/off the blinking lights! HAHA, what a creative design that adds to the lively mood of Christmas!

Then Yvonne came and met us at Starbucks, B1 of Paragon. She picked up a 50000 dollar note!!! But.... in Rupiah la. Haha! There was a money changer there and they were buying rupiah at 16.2. 2 grads and an undergrad could not figure out how to convert 50k rupiah to S$. OMG! We calculated from S$8100 to S$810. It turned out to be only S$8.10. HAHAHAHA! At Starbucks, we bought her a slice of warm chocolate cake cos' it was her birthday. But she was too full from her dinner at Crystal Jade and end up sharing it with us. We sat there till about 1045pm before we decided to go home as we were all very tired.

Staff dinner was held at Singapore Island Country Club (Adam Road) yesterday. They did not wear very formally. I was considered the better-dressed there. OMG, some came in jeans, tee-shirts, some even tattered. No standard karaoke competition, kelong judges for table performance item and best-dressed. Food was a disappointment. We had 12 people to a table, so squeezy. Food wasn't enough for the table.

Menu (in order):
1. Salad and fruits lobster (can't see lobster)
2. Shark's fin with fish maw (no shark's fin detected)
3. Roast Chicken (quite good with crispy skin)
4. Steamed Promfet (fishy but I like)
5. Stir-fried prawns (small ones)
7. Sea cucumber with broccoli and mushrooms (small mushrooms with small light brown sea cucumbers, a bit like fake ones)
8. E-fu noodles (half a small bowl each)
9. Yam lotus paste (yu ni) (a small scope each)

Sigh, what a let-down! I was hoping for more! And I thought people will come in pretty dresses and shiny shoes, and many people taking photograhs, but none. I expected too much. There wasn't even a lucky draw. SIGH!

The letter came. HAHA! I'll be going into NIE 3rd Jan 06! Dunno if it's a good thing or not. I'll be signing the 3-year contract this Saturday and found my 2 sureties - JH and CP. Sigh, what to do without them! So many guidelines regarding choosing of sureties.

I went back NTU a few days ago and got Chronicle. There's this article which is quite interesting: Dummy's Guide to Responsible Blogging

1. Be politically correct - Respect for others. Get your facts right about other people. This is to avoid being sued for slander. Also never say anything that would lower another person's reputation.

2. Master the art of abbreviations - Don't use names of places, schools, people on your blog that others can easily detect through search engines.
Example: Dear Diary, my name is E****** and I study in End Tee Yew. My teacher, Ms H, is so motivationally-deficient, she failed to turn up for lecture again.

3. Use a lock - some blog host requires a visitor to key in a password before the blog can be viewed.

4. Avoid taboo topics - Avoid topics on race, religion, politics and the Internal Security Act. Don't promote feelings of ill-will and hostility between different races or classes of the population of Singapore.

5. Make friends with an NUS law student - This is when you don't have the money to hire a lawyer.

*Adapted from The Nanyang Chronicle - October 17, 2005, Volume 12 No. 5.*

Sigh, so much to consider when writing a blog entry. Can't let out all the frustrations, sharing of happiness and sadness!!! Sigh, what can I write then? How sad.

Hiss Hiss

Went for a concert by myself on Tuesday - Camerata de Lausanne at VCH for $18.There were 13 of them - 3 1st violins, 3 2nd violins, 3 violas, 3 cellos and 1 double bass. What attracted me was that they are chamber ensemble and their repertoire. Their repertoire:

1. Mozart - Divertimento in D Major, K 136
2. Bach - Concerto for Two Violins and Orchestra in D Minor, BMV1043
3. Shostakovich - Prelude and Scherzo Op 11
4. Balissat - Traumerei (Dreams) for String Orchestra
5. Dvorak - Serenade for String Orchestra in E Major Op 22

They were very cool! Listened very carefully especially to the first 2 pieces because they are familar pieces to my string orchestra. A very pleasant concert. I just love Classical pieces! Don't mind Romantic too!

School closed yesterday with their Open House. It seems like its the in-thing now for schools to have open house. It dragged from 230pm to 730pm. How torturing it is. Cos there is nothing much to do. Time past more slowly when there's nothing to do. Things that happened in school for the past 2 weeks are so unclear to the new teachers, and I got a bit frustrated with the management. And had been eating out everyday, cos' the canteen was either closed or half-opened or food was becoming yucky. Sigh, it's a bit tough on the wallet. Not to mention, CCA was horrible, total a waste of time. Hate CCA duties! *too much cannot be mentioned here*

Invigilation for the 'O's will be starting coming Monday at another posted school. Those days not on invigilation duties will have to go back to school, working hours 830am to 1230pm. Well, some work needs to be started soon. Need to rearrange some 30 over schools' papers into topical revisions!!

Went for dim sum buffet lunch last Sat. It was on JH's treat. We went to Harbourfront's Dragon Gate Restaurant. Heard good reviews about it. But personally, I think it wasn't comparable to the one we had in HK!

Today, was CP's turn. We went to Mushroom Pot at Orchard Point. The soup was not bad. A simple, light and soupy meal. And full too! After dinner today, we went to TCC near Hotel Rendezvous for desserts. That was on JH's treat. Woo... It was so generous of her! $55 leh! Recommendation there is their Hotlava chocolate cake. NICE! But the portion is small and ex! After tat, we walked back to PS to get home from there.

On the way from Orchard Point to TCC, outside PS, JH told me Mr Poh actually walked past us. He was with a guy. I turned back immediately to see. But he was about 10 metres away le. She said he looked in my direction. But I was wondering if he saw me, he would have stopped me and talked to me, right? Sigh, I should look at people when they walk. I always miss people out. He still looked the same, well-built as before. He was with a guy. I miss him quite a lot actually. =~(

Went shopping with JH in Shaw Centre Isetan. Had to buy a bag for short travels and some working clothes and shoes. Got a $200 voucher from my Dad, cos' he has got around $1000 Isetan vouchers redeemed from one of his credit cards rewards. Bought this Billabong bag:

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Wanted to get the black one, but no more new one le. So got this Navy blue one instead.

Other that the bag, got a skirt! Very nice checked skirt from Iora. And a cute top from the same shop. And another skirt from BYSI. Total cost was $164.90. So left $40 worth of vouchers. Will get shoes from the TM Isetan next time. Ran out of time today cos' needed to meet CP for dinner at 6pm.

I suspected one student of mine to be the younger sister of my secondary school mate. Same surname, same built and same facial features. And she addded me in her Friendster recently. Should be her, no doubt. Too bad, I won't be teaching them again. I will miss some of them.

Finally registered for my Grade 8 theory exam for next March. Gonna work hard ya? And try to get a Distinction this time!

The Passion Didn't Die

My new Sec 3 class is ok, minus away the noise they always make. They are ultimately talkative. They're quite a nice bunch of kids, except they are quite slow at grasping concepts. Perhaps, they were talking amongst themselves? Perhaps I wasn't good enough. But I have put in my best. They are going for their final exams next Friday. With that, I will be teaching 4E2, cos their Maths teacher is down with chicken pox.

School has been really busy. 2 weeks I've been reaching home after 6pm. Sigh. Lotsa remedials, meetings, CCAs and staying back for invigilation for the Prelims. I wasn't spared for anything. No time to rest, always gobbled down my lunch and coffee. Coffee has become a necessity to keep myself going. It's non-stop from 750am to 330pm. After that, I usually collapsed on my chair and stoned literally. Sigh, I'm afraid fatique will once again conquer me.

There's so much stuff I can't write it here. Sigh. So much to grumble about. But at least there are a few close colleagues to grumble to. 2 out of the 5 contract teachers have undergone observation by their HOD and VP. My HOD didn't inform me of any. Am I going to be left out? Am I not going into NIE in 2006? I WANT TO GO NIE!! I want my pay increment! My pay now is pathetic. Sigh.

Will teaching become my career or my job? Will I make it my career or my job? This is an important decision to make.

Long time no blog

A new week is ahead. I've got my second month salary. Suddenly, the joy of seeing my money growing is wonderful. And suddenly, the thought of making more money comes into my mind. I registered myself with a tuition agent. Hopefully, I will be getting students soon.

Went for SE chalet at Aloha Chalets in Changi on Tuesday evening. How I wish I could stay over and join them in their majong!! We had own-made steamboat there! Was pretty good! And very enjoyable! HAHA! Took a cab back home.

From tomorrow onwards, I'll be teaching 3E4 Add Math. The current teacher left the class cos' they complained to change teacher. I wonder what is behind it. I worry they are a problematic class. There will be 3 teachers in the class for every lesson. One of them is their another current Maths teacher, and the other is a contract teacher like me. He will be teaching them E Math. Sigh, have to pray hard.

Will be going Genting Highlands with the school band in Dec for 5 days. The teacher I/C had to come up with the teacher-student ratio of 1:20. Many teachers will be away for the English trip, so she came to approach me. I agreed the same day. What's there to lose? The whole trip will be paid for!! And we will be staying in hotel! Somemore the contract teacher in charge of band is going too. At least got company!! And also a getaway frOm Singapore!! And to revisit Genting after more than 5 years!! Wonder how great it will be! Hopefully, Hacken will go there for concert in Dec! HaHa! I'm dreaming......

My piano teacher agreed to teach me Diploma. Guess I'll be busy practising piano again!

I bought my micro hi-fi for $186. Best Denki sold it for $199 and Courts at $209! I bought it at Gain City. Coincidentally, outside the Gain City in Tampines, they were having Nets-It promotion. It's something like spend $1 using Nets will be rewarded with 1 Nets point. Somemore registration is free and life-long. With the sign-up, I got a 200 points voucher. So the hi-fi was actually $195, but using 100 points, I can buy it at $186. Hehe. But the 100 points remaining gone to waste.

My new micro hi-fi on my shelf!

It has blue backlight and vertical CD loading. Two things I don't like about this is it doesn't have a wire antenna; it uses the traditional type of antenna that you have to pull out and turn in various directions to get signals. And also it doesn't have a glass cd lid for me to look at the spinning cd. Other than that, the sound is pretty good! Finally a micro hi-fi of my own after wishing for 7 years! Music is finally coming to accompany me everynight! There was an even chio-er one I saw in Courts.

Look at the lights! So nice! And when the CD spins, it's gonna be pretty!! Somemore the cover slides up!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Look at the thickness! I didn't get this because the cover slides up and I don't have enough room on my shelf to accomodate it.

Yesterday after practise, YH drove RT and I to Suntec. Cos' RT was having dinner there, and Angela will be there too. So after that we can all go Changi Airport together to send KY off to Germany as a surprise. But halfway thru the journey after sending KY and YT home, YH's car suddenly had funny noises coming out of his accelerator pedal. After a while, YH suddenly suspect his engine was overheating!! Quickly, I took out the street directory in his car, and flipped for the nearest pertrol station! After turning into 2 wrong short roads (I hate city roads, it's damn confusing), his engine died about 50m from the petrol station. It was while making a turn outside Albert Hotel, and the car stopped in the middle of the road. Had no choice, YH asked me to steer the wheel while he and RT pushed at the back. I was a bit gan chiong. When I sat in the driver's seat, I suddenly forgot what to do. I didn't even have enough strength to release the handbrake. I think I was lost cos' it's the first time the car I sat in broke down. But I quickly re-composed myself and got the car nearer to the side of the road. YH opened up the bonnet, then opened the coolant tank and smoke emerged. Not much smoke. But the fact that the car couldn't start worried him. YH then called the tow truck. RT took a cab to rush to Suntec for her dinner. So both of us waited for the tow truck for about an hour.

The uncle was directing him how to position his car.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

YH got in his car, which can be restarted after cooling down. He was relieved the engine was not burnt.

His car was elevated.

Last goodbye to his car......

Both of us had dinner at "Gao Ji" outside Bugis Junction. Was pretty expensive, and the air-con wasn't cooling. YH was full of imagination how suay he can get after his car broke down and handphone on NO battery. Funny guy he is.

Then we took MRT to Changi Airport. We reached there at 910pm. We checked out KY's flight which was at 1105pm and found out he would check-in at Row 2. He wasn't here. So I sms him, trying to find out where he is. He replied saying he checked-in very early, and was having dinner with his family. Not wanting to let him know we were sending him off, I tried to probe for further detailed locations of him. But he didn't reply my sms, so we went to the customs entry to try our luck to meet him. 945pm. We started to get worried. RT and Angela hadn't reached too. YH then called KY to ask directly where he was. Haha, in the end we met. He was about to go in already! How lucky we were. 10 min after we met, RT and Angela came. We took photos and gave him a card and loitered there till 1040pm when his Dad said he better go in. We said our last goodbyes and he went in. I'm gonna miss someone suaning me and a listening ear.

Feeling

How long will the feeling last? It's so difficult to like somebody, and so easy to un-like somebody, for me at least. The feeling of liking is good, but liking without him knowing is miserable. It's worse if he treats you coldly. Is he THE ONE? When will I meet THE ONE?

Comex 05

Weilian won Superstar. Sigh.

Condolences to my Principal who lost her dad. Hope she is fine.

Went Comex at Suntec after school today. It was damn crowded. MRT was crowded, City Hall was crowded. Marina Square was Crowded. SUNTEC WAS EVEN MORE CROWDED! The crowd was made worse with the rainy weather. Met up with KY to go Comex. Took a few brochures here and there, and tried out some cameras. Tried EXILIM S500! HAHA! Very chio! And saw many sleek laptops!! Wheah, all nice and sleek lappies are above $3k! How long must I save to get that?! Cry man.

At 830pm, we went to have dinner at Marche. Long time since I went Marche. There were quite a lot of people inside, but we got our seats quite fast. Stayed there till 11pm. Talked so much crap and stuff. In the end, when we got to the MRT station, the last train to Boon Lay already left, so KY had to take a bus back instead. Luckily I still have my train. Hehe.

School holidays started. Need not go back school. No need go for netball duty. Hehe. So glad! Need to make use of this one week break to do lotsa things! Finish my music theory!! And catch up more on Physics and Maths! Pack my room! Clean my room! Sigh. Maybe go swimming too. Long time haven't swum. Meanwhile, relax and enjoy!

First Teachers' Day

School started at 725am as usual but it'll only be half day. After assembly was the ACES day workout. The teachers were encouraged to come in sports gear, but I didn't. And many didn't as well. I was supposed to have one lesson at the third period, but Miss Ong said I need not go cos' she'll be going through answers. So, no lessons! So with the other teachers, we went for the first concert session for the lower sec. The concert was ok, but Dunman's one were better. I remembered being a student councillor in Dunman, we actually had to plan the Teachers' Day concert. We made use of dry ice for the grand entrance of teachers and our programmes were of higher standard. I remembered staying till 11pm in the school for Teachers' Day rehearsal.

Got a bar of chocolates from the Maths subject head and some chocolate cookies during the concert. Nothing from the students. I didn't expect anything, cos' I'm not close to them. So well, hehe.

At 12pm, all the teachers walked over to Sakura restaurant at Downtown East for Teachers' Day buffet lunch. Wahaha!! Heard it cost $22 per person! Lotsa salmon sashimi, tuna and other kinds' of fish sashimi! Oysters, tempura prawns, teppanyaki, claypot, chicken wings, soup.... so much to eat! But I didn't eat a lot cos' I ate alot of sashimi! HAHA! Yummy!

After lunch, it was about 2pm. I took bus 3 to Tampines interchange. Then walked over to TM and Century Square for shopping. Been quite bored with my clothes, and need some additions. Somemore, my mum said all my clothes look quite old, so have to get some clothes to make me young and fresh! HAHA!

A simple shopping made me burn a BIG pocket. Firstly I bought another spagetti top at Giordano at $14. Then at OAMC, bought a wrap grey skirt and 2 tops at $93.50. And this price was after 50% discount!! Imagine without discounts?!?! Went over to Century Square to Echo Of Nature, and spent a freaking $282.30! Got a belt, 4 tops, 2 skirts and a jeans there. The sales girl was good, she knew how to match and give me what I want. And the clothes were nice this season! Having spent so much, I got myself their lifetime membership which entitles me to 10% discount. Total damage = $389.80. I never spent so much on clothes in my whole life! Time to munch on bread!

Greetings!

Hi everybody! Long time no blog! Been rather busy with school lately. School has been fine so far. Teacher's Day day after next, and next week is the September one week break. Haha. Shall not write anything about school anymore. What if the students search and found my blog? Die man.

Internet is still down. Singnet called me up and told me about their broadband promotion. Yes, my contract is up, and can change plan le! Now thinking of signing up the 1500kbps. Fast leh! Better than this miserable 512kbps. 3 times more speed! But the August promotion is bad. Only got a free wireless modem. Sucks. My friend got an ipod shuffle and $300 Royal Sporting House vouchers ok!!! So I told that Singnet lady, and said she will feedback to the management. HAHA! Right now, waiting for September. See how it goes. Must get the best. Everytime I recontract, a better promotion comes out. Can't they always give the same stuff? If not, change the promotion freebies with same value!! GRRRR!!

Met up with Yuhua, Jiehui and David last week for dinner at Suntec Swensons. Yuhua bought us gifts from the States! Look!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

There's Lancome eyeshadow, a "sponge-on" eyeshadow, lotion, spray, pedicure set, sun-screen lip-gloss, and an underwear..... ALL in PURPLE! HAHA! Thanks girl, like that so much!

After that, we went NYDC for desserts!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Had mudpies and a rocky cake. Can't really remember the name. But the chocolate fudge was sooooooooooooooo nice! Hehe.

Been feeling happy these days. Hehe. He's been sms-ing me daily, in the morning, in the day, in the night. When I was so bored marking papers in the staff room, his message would arrive and perk me up. Will it continue? Or is he just as bored with his work too? Sigh.

Damn sad that Jun Yang is out!!! Boo hoo!!

Ouch! A Pain in the EYE!

Yesterday was a bit demoralising for me. I went thru Physics answers with 4N1 and gave the wrong answer. Mr Yap was inside the classroom with me, and he sort of hinted me it was wrong, but brainless me didn't know where I was wrong. So he went in front of the class and told them the correct answer. He was very nice, he explained to the class I am a new teacher, and told them to give me more encouragement. He even told them when he was a new teacher, he also made mistakes. I think he was very nice loh. This is the kind of gentleman who wouldn't let anyone lose face in front of others. (unlike someone......)

After school, went for string practise. Drove along ECP home, and ended up in Changi Airport!

Today started out unlucky. I burned my left eye!! WHY? Cos I didn't put in the neutralising pill into the contact lens solution!!! I put on my contacts and got a REAL stinging burning pain in my left eye!! It was so painful I can't even open my eyes!!! I stood in front of the mirror like for a minute plus before I can calm myself down to take out the lens. It was so difficult to even open my eyes, not to say, take the lens out!!! OUCCH!! It left the blood veins in my left eye popping out. I wore glasses to school today, and the eye was painful and red for the whole day.

However, the day in school turned out to be better than I thought. Being a Tuesday, I have lessons the whole day, and after school, there is afternoon programme and remedial which will end at 5pm. The first period was a repeat lesson for another class, so I need not go in. So I got 2 periods to prepare for my lesson on Nuclear Physics. Though it was a super simple topic, the problem was how to extend the lesson to 35 minutes! And while thinking, I feel asleep. The chime went and I went to class. Lucky me, the class had biology practical before that, and were 10 minutes into lesson time. Hehe, 25 min to go. Went in, luckily information flowed quite well. But the lesson ended in 10 minutes. Darn. So I called out," Miss Lim?" Hehe, she told me beforehand if I ended early, she could give out the practical and test papers. Phew.

Then, it was 2 periods of MAths. But Miss Ong was on MC, and already gave them worksheets to do. Woo hoo! 2 more periods free! Happily can do my stuff!! Then 2 hours later, it was afternoon programme time. Had to go through Mock Exam paper with the class, but when I reached the classroom, there wasn't anyone inside! And their bags were all gone! Later, I found out that they all had English oral in the hall! Whoo!!

Remedial was also cancelled, cos the students wanted to rush their D&T project. HAHA! MEANS CAN GO HOME!! And my mum offered to come fetch me home!!! WAAAHHH!!! I feel lucky today. OK! Must do more good things, so that I can be lucky.

Ok, needa sleep. Eye still pain. Hope tom will be fine.

CAC Ball - Galaxy: Cynosure

Just came back from CAC Ball 2005. It was held at Amara Hotel. Cost of ticket: $49. This year is different from all the other years I've been to. It's the least preparation work done in terms of the dressing and hairdo, and going to the ball was kinda last minute, only decided on Wed. I wore the same set of clothings that I wore to in 2003. Regarding the hair, I just half-tied it, and plucked in a shiny star-crystal pin that I bought in HK.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Before that, the whole day I was super busy. Morning had to go for my theory lessons, which my teacher said," Next time must do first then come ah!" Sigh, I also wish so la, but I was really really too busy throughout the week irregardless of the two day school holiday. Sigh. Then had to rush home, packed, bathed and went Century again to do pedicure for the night's ball. Then met my family at 1245, where my brother came picked me up at Tampines MRT and ate lunch at Hougang. Some roast duck and "shao rou", and were not comparable to the one in Serangoon. I treated them lunch as I got my first pay yesterday. Hehe, finally money is starting to come in.

Then I was lucky that my brother was so kind enough to send me to NTU for my string practise. Hehe, I reached at 220pm, 20 minutes late. But the conductor was even later. Sigh, I got a feeling, he won't last long. Give him another year or two, he will quit. Trust me. Practises are getting boring. Maybe cos' of the new members who are learning to play the repertoire. Gotta give them more time and patience, isn't it? The conductor is also someone who talks alot of stories and have extended short breaks. I hate them. Reason being - I had to spend so much time travelling, so don't waste my time like that. Today, I sat there and wonder, is it all worth it to go for string practises? Sigh. I am starting to get impatient with him. Hence, I took it all out on my violin during practise today.

Then I went to RT's hall to get changed and made up. We were ready in 45 minutes, and YH drove to fetch us to Amara. There wasn't anyone I know there, except Wee Fong. The feeling of "old" there. The people were dressed down, I don't see sexy and revealing gowns like Eve's? Haha. Not many people wore gowns. The food was ok only; there were only 9 of us (we shared a table with Piano Ensemble people), but the portion of food was not considered big, maybe only barely sufficient. The games were fresh to me, alas some new stuff. But was pretty boring. Maybe the gang I used to go with were so much bigger, hence more lively. YH was again kind enough to send me back to my house.

Back to some school stuff, have been marking scripts, and going to classes alone. 4N1 people, a bunch of XXX. Don't know to use what adjective to describe them. Made two of them stayed back after class. 5N2 kids were more willing to learn. They do their work, and asked questions. One kid asked,"Cher, when you leaving ar? You gonna stay till after Teacher's Day?"

I shrugged. "We want to give you Teacher's Day present. You'll still be here right?"

"No need, no need, don't need present la." I replied, afraid of them giving me "surprises". Haha. At least I prefer 5N2 to 5N1, 5N1 gave me a hard time on Thursday. Firstly, so many of them didn't bring their workbooks. Then I changed to do TYS instead. But they started to talk and not listen to me. Sigh. It's bad. 4N1 kids also jia lat, some really stubborn. GRRRR!!

Now, next assignment is to come up with a test paper on Radioactivity for 4E4 and 4E6. Add.Math paper solutions have yet completed! Jia lat!!

Wireless internet is stil not fixed. Sigh. I haven't touched my lappie for a long time!

Tuesday, August 09, 2005

Over the 2nd and into the 3rd!

It has been so long since I've blogged man!! Blame the internet connection! I wanted to blog on Saturday, but the stupid wireless router suddenly went bongus! There was actually "Excellent signal" displayed on my lappie, but just couldn't connect to the internet! Even the PC too! With all the correct signals and stuff, but just couldn't access to the internet! It just went kaput! TMD~ now I am using my ADSL modem to connect and only at 8Mbps. Damn!

So what happened in the second week? I got my first teaching experience! The first class I taught was 5N1! Topic on Center of Gravity and Stability. Was supposed to teach 5N2 on Friday, but Ms Chua suddenly told me to teach the same thing to 5N1 on Thursday itself. Faint. Haven't really prepared yet! Went to make up some transparency and did reading before the lesson. The time finally came, and I went into the class ALONE. They were quite nice, some paid attention to me, some ignored me, but AT LEAST they didn't make noise! The lesson started out quite well, but started to freak out. Haha, then I started to look at my textbook for clues. I had everything in my mind, but they just couldn't flow smoothly. Eventually it ended, finished before the 35-minute period. Thank goodness, I hoped they learned something!

Friday came, it's the same stuff for 5N2. I was so much in a better form! I went home to reflect on Thursday's lesson, and did even more preparation. I went in class today and could babble everything from my memory. Even more stuff was taught to the class today. To that point, I thought I did injustise to 5N1. Heck. Ms Chua was sitting in class that day, and important thing is to treat her INVISIBLE. Haha!

Today was National Day celebration. Boring CCA commendation ceremony in the morning. Then waited for another boring Speech Day at 4pm. Then what to do between 11am and 4pm?? CL, Nic and I went TM for lunch. Ate Ding Tai Feng, sucky leh! And somemore so ex!! I think Crystal Jade is so much better, and cheaper also! No more Ding Tai Feng le!! Then I went home to charge my handphone. So much time left loh! Still have some time to practise piano! HAHA!

After the speech thingy, I took a cab down to NTU for SE practise. Cost me $23!! But today's practise was fun leh. Played Overture to Barber of Sevielle, my fave! HAHA! And one of the new members was actually Clara, a choir member from TPJC! HAHA, she's in NIE, and happened to be Sheryl's coursemate! What a small world ya?

Needa sleep. More work at home tom!

Survived the 1 week ordeal

So far so good. Hope everything will be smooth sailing. Tom's the start of a new week. Please be good... *pray hard*

Spent 2 days of the weekend doing E math paper. Finally finished it without as much problems as Add Maths. Going to print on transparency tom. Kind of waste paper leh. Next time shall do it on the transparency itself. Busy reading on Physics now. Have stopped reading since Tuesday cos' was rushing through the Add Maths syllabus. Phew. Hope everything stays in my brain.

Changed the background music! It's the Mandarin version of Hong Ri by Hacken Lee. His new Mandarin album has just been released on 28th July. All nice songs! Enjoy the music!

Work life has started

First day of work 25th July. Almost late. Got to the bus stop at 640am, and waiting for bus 17 till 655am. If the bus goes faster, I might be able to reach school by 720am. Saw no Hai Sing student at the bus stop. Smells something fishy. Boarded the bus, none Haisians on board. Die. Is is a holiday today? No, I see many Ngee Ann and Dunman students. The bus crawled along Tampines Ave 2, then turned to Ave 7. Many cars. 710am already. Students alighted at TPJC bus stop and the one after. No good. Jam is getting bad! The bus is still crawling! I got off the bus. Prayed for a cab to come. Not to be late for work again?!?! I was late for work on the first day I worked at HP. Got a mercedes cab!!! Thank god! The driver cut lanes and zoomed me to school in just 4 minutes!!! And cost me $4. I stepped into the school at 7:19am. Ask for directions to the general office. Amazed by what I saw. The students were all seated on the parade square reading their story books! I rushed into the office, and was told to wait at the lounge. No need to attend assembly, hmm. The chime went at 725am. National anthem was sung followed by the pledge. The principal introduced the 4 new teachers to the students. But I wasn't at the assembly ground!

Then the Principal welcomed and briefed the 4 of us. We were showed our seats. Hehe, we've got new tables, they changed part of the pantry into tables for us. I'm so happy I've got a new table all to myself! And a comfortable chair, and a locker under my table. The best is I'm in a corner, can slack anytime! Then we toured the school briefly, and realised the school compound was similar to my sec sch. It wasn't too difficult to get around the school for me. Afterwhich, we met up with our respective HODs. I got my timetable and will be teaching 3 subjects - Combined Physics, E and A Maths, and attached to the graduating classes, both the 4 Express and 5 Normals. I do not need to teach, but will be assisting the teachers in any ways. I only need to sit in office today and I read up on textbooks. Shucks, can't remember so much stuff! Lunch was the food in canteen. It was cheap, only $1 for most of the things! I had chicken bryani for $1.60.

Day 2 - 26th July. Ultimately wet day. Hoping to be on time, left the house at 630am. Raining cats and dogs, bananas and papayas. Stood in the rain, wanted to take cab. And my cab was snatched by a stupid maid sending her mistress to school. TMD! Then I walked further up to flag. 655am. Shucks. No cab in sight! Called all the cab companies. All engaged tones. *Become hysterical* Called sleeping brother. Asked him to send me to school. 7:01am. Got on the car with my pants all wet and shoes soaked with water. Totally jammed along the way. *turns hysterical* Brother said there's no need to worry, cos' definitely gonna be late! Asked him what reason to give, he said "severe jam". Got me laughing for moment. But tears were brimming in my eyes.

Reached 735am. DM alike said,"Bad weather, isn't it?" Sounds nice, but don't know if it carried a sacastic meaning.

Luckily not late for the first period of lesson. First time enter the classroom with all eyes on me. Feel so weird! The first period was with 5N1. They gonna draw graph. Couldn't rem a lot, but slowly, came back. Then had Maths lessons. Physics lesson on radioactive was very interesting by Mr Yap. He was a Mechanical Engineer but switched to teaching. Then after school, there was Math mock exam invigilation. After that, I went to the Popular in White Sands and bought TYS. *SCREAMS!* Really need to get ready to do revisions with the kids!

Day 3 and Day 4 - 27th and 28th July. We went for a course at MOE Cluster Schools somewhere in Redhill. 830am to 530pm. 2 long and tedious days. But there were a lot of things learnt and many friends made. After I got home, I struggled through A Maths prelim papers. I had to come up with the solutions. ARGH, someone return me my memory!

Day 5 - 29th July. Finally in time for school. I took the MRT instead, less the trouble of jamming. Phew. Went to lab with 5N2. They did an experiment on Moments. These people are damn noisy, and had untidy handwriting on their papers, especially the guys! OMG! They never read the instructions, and many copied each other. Chaos in the lab man! But it was pretty interesting to walk around and guide them. Then went for Mr Yap's Physics class with 4N1. Went in, and some of them said,"Cher, cher, you very pretty!" Haha, but I was talking to another boy in class, so I ignored that remark. They will be sitting for their N levels soon. All the classes I've been to have a few black sheeps. I guess it takes some skill to control them. Used to the feeling of entering the class with all eyes on me. Guess it will be more intimidating when it's my turn to teach the class. Grr, I hate attention like this.

Of Feet and Shoes (Of Mice and Men)

I spent another yet unfruitful day doodling with PS2. It was my brother who suggested to play it yesterday. All thanks to him, there goes the time to read up on Physics and violin practise. Mum is away in Beijing, so hence, the 3 pigs at home are on rampage.

While MH (younger brother) was out and MK (youngest brother) was in school, I went to Tampines Central to shop for my shoes. Needed some appropriate shoes for teaching! Finally got to a shop in Century Square in a corner and got them! They were beige in colour and I really love them! Had been looking around for shoes like that, but they didn't give me a good feeling. And I got my shoes for $29.55 after a 20% discount!

Then I shopped for some tops at Metro and Double Index. Roughly adding up to $70+++, near to $80 I guess. ~$~

Adding on to the damage, I went for my life's every first - a express pedicure for $15 at Nails In Vouge. Express pedicure only covers filing of nails and painting with nail art on 2 toes. I kind of like it! Maybe next time can consider going for a full pedicure!

I'm going to skip my SE practise tomorrow. Don't want to spoil the practise session. Think ZH will drill the performers for Monday's gig, and the non-performers will sit there staring. Or am I making excuses for myself? Recently has been thinking if I should get my Piano diploma. It seems something far-fetched. How about violin? Haven't been improving after playing for so long. Should I really get serious lessons? But where's the time?

Should I get tuition kids? Should I get music students? Money seems to be everything I'm thinking now.

A guy sms me at 730am this morning! TMD! The msg wrote: good morning! Time 2 wake up!
What the hell? Did I request for a morning call? Instead of a good morning, it became a frustrated morning. Had some trouble getting into sleep last night, and woken up by MK going to school at 630am. I suppose I'm anxious over my first day at Hai Sing Catholic School. I suppose I miss HIM even more. Shan't think so much now, he's trying hard to get over his ex now.

Has any girl cried for you?

Has any ger cried for u before?

If a gal cries in front of u,
it means dat she couldn't take it anymore.
If u take her hand,
she would stay with u for e rest of ur life;
If u let her go,
she couldnt go back to being herself anymore.

A gal won't cry easily,
except in front of e person who she love e most,
she becomes weak.

A gal won't cry easily,
only when she love u e most,
she puts down her ego.

Guys, if a gal cries bcoz of u,
please hold her hands firmly,
she's the one who would stay with u for e rest of ur life.

Guys, if a gal cries bcoz of u,
please don't give her up,
maybe bcoz of ur decision,
u ruin her life.

When she cries rite in front of u,
when she cries bcoz of u,
look into her eyes,
can u see n feel e pain n hurt she's feeling?
Think.
Which other girl have cried wif pure sincerity,
infront of u,
and bcoz of u?

She cries not because she is weak,
she cries not bcoz she wants sympathy or pity.
She cries,
because crying silently is no longer possible,
e pain, hurt,n agony have become too big a burden to be kept inside.

Think about it.
If a gal cries her heart out to u,
and all because of u,
its time to look back on what u have done.
Only u will know e answer to it.

Do consider it,
Coz one day,
It may be too late fot regrets,
It may be too late to say" i am sorry".

Maybe in ur life,
she's the onli one who will love u e most.

Shopping Spree

Met up with Von and JH today at TM today at 1pm. Yeah! They came to Tampines! Wah, I'm so happy. And on we went for our shopping! I needed to shop for skirts for teaching. In the end I got 3 skirts, 1 pants and 1 top! And all of them were chosen by JH and Von. They said my taste is bad. !#)&X#*$!@*# But, after trying what they chose for me, I must agree they were pretty. Hehe.

Total damage today: (In brackets are the discounted prices)
Red2 = $42 ($37.80)
OSMOSE = $39 ($31.20)
bYSI = $94 ($61.10)
U2 = $43 ($21.50)
Giodarno = $14 ($11.90)

Total Damage for the day = $163.50
Total Savings made during sales = $68.50

Hehe, very satisfied. Maybe next time need to get a few more tops.

And there was Chocolate Fantasy at Century Square due to the Singapore Food Festival. For every purchase of $30 and above, one can get a dip in the chocolate fountain! And for ladies shoppers, they get two dips!!! Von and I had together 3 receipts more than $30, and we got 6 dips! JH didn't buy more than $30, so I gave 2 dips to her. So what dipped into the chocolate? It was strawberry, rock melon and marshmellows!!!

Enough calories of the day. But the chocolate was heavenly. Not those watery tasteless chocolate ok! It was aromatic and thick! NICE!
