New Hair

I can't remember the last time I blogged! Sch has started and it hasn't been that bad afterall. A lot of independent learning. Tutors no longer feed us with infomation. Sigh. SO much creative needed for each lesson, and it's draining my brain juices. Presentations are coming up, and group project meetings, micro-teaching... urgh! I went into engineering because I hate these kind of stuff! I hate presentations and classroom participation!!!

I did my hair last Wed. Did a perm to it... cut, spa, highlighting, and dye to my hair at... Jeean Yeep. I walked in only wanting to have a cut and wash. I walked out of the salon with a totally destructed pocket. This was the most expensive hairdo I've ever had! No price will be mentioned here. It's heart-breaking! And I'll never go back to this salon again! I felt cheated!

Went to catch Memoirs of a Geisha with JH last Sunday. It was an event organised by NTeeU Alumni Office. It was a nice show despite many critics on it. If you're looking for action-packed, comedy, you better not watch it. Cos' you will fall asleep. What I liked about the show is the story, the settings and of cos the actors. Hehe. Gong Li at 40 is still stunning! And it's another angle for Michelle Yeoh - a gentle, kind-hearted geisha unliked her usual action-packed filled movies. And of cos Zhang Ziyi is pretty, and Ken Wantanabe has his manly-charisma at his age.

Steamboat dinner

Went to Chong Qing Huo Guo at Tanglin Shopping Centre for steamboat dinner. Had a difficult way of finding our way there... JH and I walked into a small street upon turning into the Hard Rock Cafe road. Realised it was the wrong way after calling Marvin, we turned back, and walked straight on. It was a long way... and when we saw "Tanglin..." we thought it was it. But then we saw it was Tanglin Shopping Centre. (Our minds were thinking of Tanglin Mall) So JH went to ask the security guard standing on the steps of Tanglin Shopping Centre where is Tanglin Mall. He said still need to walk straight on. So.... we walked along a construction site, passed Regent Hotel and reached Tanglin Place (or something). JH went to asked a guy where Tanglin Mall was and he said," Straight ahead." We FINALLY reached Tanglin Mall and took the lift to level 4. There was only Hoi's Kitchen and swimming pool there! OMG! JH then called Marvin again to asked. After some moments... CP, Von and Marvin were actually at Tanglin Shopping Centre!!! Depressed, hungry, pek chek and feeling lousy, we took a cab down to Tanglin Shopping Centre. The taxi driver was surprised and he said,"Just in front..." when we told him our destination. And the meter hadn't even jumped a single cent!

We gobbled down some food immediately upon reaching. The service was not good. When I requested for more chilli oil in the ma la soup, the waitress said," Got enough inside already!" Ultimate! They were underhanded, and think that was why service was not prompt. Sigh. The ma la soup base was not really good. The one in Beijing was nice. Here, it wasn't ma. They put too little of that hua jiao already. Somemore it wasn't that spicy. All and all, the dinner was not worth for the $40 we paid.

First week of school

Can't believe it! I overslept for 3 times this week!! First time - first day of school! In the end, took a cab. Second time - 3rd day of school! Took cab again. Third time - on Sat, woke up when theory class is suppose to start. Called up teacher and lied I've got terrible diarrhea. Oh man, how pig can I get?

Went to catch The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe yesterday with SO people. The show brought back so many wonderful memories - the stage play I performed when I was in Sec 1. It was performed at Tampines East Cultural Centre on 22nd May 1995. OMG! I actually remembered the date! HAHA! I was playing the role of a fairy, entourage of Aslan. The seniors playing the lead roles of Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy, Aslan, White Witch, Mr Thumnus and the Wolf were so nice people! I couldn't forget the sweat and effort we put in for all the practises. Even "ca le fey" in the play like me could memorise their stage lines. I miss the seniors. Anyway, the movie was great. I liked all the effects. Peter is so handsome! HAHA! But I thought Lucy could be a bit cuter.

I ate this salmon roe sushi (free red plate I chose) at Sakae Sushi. My friend was telling how delicious this was and decided to give it a try. I was thinking it couldn't be much different from the smaller prawn roes.

Looks filled with roes?

After taking away the cucumbers... actually not a lot of roes. The most expensive sushi... 2 for $6.50!

First bite... The roes popped in my mouth and it tasted slimy and fishy! ERRR... and I was thinking I actually killed so many eggs that had chances of becoming big salmon for my sashimi delights! I never would want to eat this again.

Start of School Again

New year's eve was great! The steamboat went well and there was too much food. In the end, we wasted quite a bit of food. JH passed me her xmas present to me. And it was the Addidas white cap which I wanted some time ago! And the thing is that, I just bought it the day before she gave it to me!!!! What a waste! But thanks JH, I love it just as much. In the end, I exchanged with Von - her M)yposis (dunno how to spell) small pouch. Luckily she didn't buy the white cap with me together that day. When it dawned, we took 179 out to JP to have Long John's breakfast! The thick chicken sausage egg sandwhich with coffee/tea/latte/cappucino was a big portion that only cost $4. I couldn't even finish the sandwhich. Then we took MRT back and concussed on the train.

School started, but yet I'm not ready! Sigh. Back to Nanyang Auditorium, Canteen A and halls... Finally checked into my Hall 1 room, 3 doors away from Von. It's actually quite spacious. My roomie is a MPE year 2 girl. Not chatty kind. But she kept the room quite clean. I hope I won't have much trouble or problem with her!

Timetable is very packed! Many many subjects! OMG, I don't know if I can manage! Got a Maths 'O' level test coming up and need to clear the test!!! Now, gotta practise on TYS!

Finally bought a present for myself again. Goodness... knowing this month would have more money coming in, I finally bought it. It's an electronic Oxford dictionary. For what right? Hmm... I think can put inside my bag whereever I go so that learning takes place. Need to improve my vocabulary. Sigh.
