Korean Ice Cream - Prefere

Ate this ice cream! Blueberry yogurt flavour! $3.50. Bought it outside Tampines Mall. They are doing a promotion there. The taste is good! Not too sweet, and doesn't melt very fast! And when it melts, it becomes more sticky and chewy! Wahaha!

It comes in 8 flavours, 3 of which are yogurt ice cream. Yummy!

Ipod video

My new electronic toy! Ipod video 30GB. I got the black one.

I thought I got a good deal. But everywhere was selling at $428. Haiz. After playing it for the whole night, I found the software not user friendly. And there are errors when I tried to update ipod's software. Video can only be in mp4 format and the converter sucks. Songs in the playlist are rearranged in disorder when I grouped them into playlist. Photo art is not set-able. ARGH! It's irritating!

Zhong1 Huan2 Restaurant

Ate at this at Zhong1 Huan2 Restaurant (meaning Central Restaurant. A place in Hong Kong) at Taka Basement 2, just outside the entrance to the foodcourt. It cost me $6.50 + Service charge + GST... which amounts up to $6.95. Very pricey!!! And it wasn't as nice as the one I ate at IMM building called Mongkok Eateries at level 3.

At Mongkok Eateries, the noodles had much more elasticity and their milk tea (which Hong Kong people like) are very very nice. The noodles cost $4.50 and milk tea at $2.50, both of which are without service charge and GST.

However, if you are craving for some HK style wanton noodles, you can try Zhong1 Huan2 one. But they do not serve milk tea. Mongkok's one is definitely more worth to eat.

September Holidays

What I did for my September Holidays...
1. Watched Goong (Princess Hours). It's a good show which JH is going GAGA over... Watch it for yourself to judge! There are many touching phrases said by Shin and Chae-Kyung. Chae-Kyung is also very cute in the show... very lively. Their costumes are very pretty, especially the accessories they wear.

This picture below is one of the nice sceneries in the show...

This is my favourite picture below. It was taken so nicely!

2. Watched Spring Waltz. The female lead is only 20 years old and is able to act very well! She's also very pretty. The male lead, though not comparable to Rain in Full House or Joo Ji Hoon in Princess Hours, he has his own charisma that made me like him too. He has sad eyes, so powerful u can get sad just by looking at his eyes. And supporting male lead - Daniel Henney has the tint of Daniel Wu! Simply dashing!

By the way, the OST is simply good! Very soothing to listen to...

3. Met up with Meihui for lunch
4. Tidied my room

Violin Bow

Oh GOSH! I spent $800 for a violin bow! The original price was $1200! My conductor managed to reduce the price to $800! It's very good! A European bow... the weight is good... evenly distributed! Spiccato can be done much more easily! And most important of all, notes can be played without much effort! The notes just come out loh! The tone is nice and purer... feel good playing with my new bow! Mind set to play for the concert in Oct!

Next is a new violin! WAHAHAAHAA!

Happy 24th Birthday

Long time no post. It seems that it has gone dormant. Don't worry. I'm just very busy. Practicum started and I've been busy everyday... preparing lessons and typing lesson plans. Sigh. To think of these, I've skipped strings like 3 times already. I wonder whether it will be worse when the final posting is out.

I passed my 24th birthday last Monday. I didn't had celebrations, neither did I eat my own birthday cake. I didn't go out because I simply couldn't take time off from work. It's terrible that I'm working 18 hours daily. Even Sat and Sun, I'm working. I'm glad I'm posted to a good school as there wasn't serious discipline cases I have to worry about. Back to my birthday, hmm... this year as usual, I'm still single. I wonder if it will be different next year. =(

Thank you all for the birthday presents, especially to my gang... =) And I've got a new electronic tuner for my violin! And it's integrated with metronome! Finally I can be in tune again! I am considering to get the $500 bow. Seriously considering. Let me take the first step towards the $5k violin. I hope I'll make it for the October concert. My mind is finally set after wavering for a few months.

Double Happiness

Oh YEAH! Firstly I passed my Grade 8 music theory with 73 marks! Though it isn't any impressive marks... but I've finally completed the graded course in piano classical music. I expected myself to get around 80 marks. Sigh. The question on the continuing for violin was the question that pulled me down. Sigh. It was a difficult paper!!

Secondly, I passed SMMT!!! WAAH!! On the first attempt! Ok, SMMT is a 2-hr test on Mastery in Mathematics. In order to pass, we need to get around 75-80 marks. Din expect to pass one... but result came out on Friday night and was shocked when I called Mic and he told me that I passed! HAHA!

On Friday, 2nd June, Rosina and family, Winnie, Jesline and husband and Mummy and I went to watch We Are Family at Orchard Lido starring Hacken Lee and Alan Tam. Newspaper only rated it a 1-star movie. Despite YES933 giving out free tickets and doing promo, and bus stops having movie ads, it was a more than half an empty theatre. It is saddening to see the movie is not hot.

As for the content, there wasn't much to comment one. It is a comedy, but not very funny la. Storyline wise, only ok. It is made worse with terrible dubbing. I think it'll be nicer if it was kept original in Cantonese. It was a disappointment. I wonder how the ticket sales in HK are.

Less than 20 days to end of 1st Sem!

So long has past since my last blog. What have I done?

1. Doing a whole lot of assignments! Can't even count how many!
2. Went to watch "Art of Seduction" Korean movie since the last movie I caught in Jan. The movie is super nice and funny! And I watched it at the new Cathay House.
3. Went to catch West Side Story at Esplandade!
4. Went to watch another Korean movie "You're My Sunshine".
5. Finished watching TVB drama "Huang Fei Hong zhi Tie Han Liang Kuan" featuring Hacken Lee!
6. Finished watching Korean drama "Sang Doo! Let's Go To School" featuring Rain! Arh! I am in love with Rain now!
7. Shifted back home from hall. Can't stand the room mate.
8. Busy practising my Diploma pieces. For a moment of time, the second finger on my right hand was so pain I couldn't play.

Ya... tat's about it. Haha.
