Steamboat dinner

Went to Chong Qing Huo Guo at Tanglin Shopping Centre for steamboat dinner. Had a difficult way of finding our way there... JH and I walked into a small street upon turning into the Hard Rock Cafe road. Realised it was the wrong way after calling Marvin, we turned back, and walked straight on. It was a long way... and when we saw "Tanglin..." we thought it was it. But then we saw it was Tanglin Shopping Centre. (Our minds were thinking of Tanglin Mall) So JH went to ask the security guard standing on the steps of Tanglin Shopping Centre where is Tanglin Mall. He said still need to walk straight on. So.... we walked along a construction site, passed Regent Hotel and reached Tanglin Place (or something). JH went to asked a guy where Tanglin Mall was and he said," Straight ahead." We FINALLY reached Tanglin Mall and took the lift to level 4. There was only Hoi's Kitchen and swimming pool there! OMG! JH then called Marvin again to asked. After some moments... CP, Von and Marvin were actually at Tanglin Shopping Centre!!! Depressed, hungry, pek chek and feeling lousy, we took a cab down to Tanglin Shopping Centre. The taxi driver was surprised and he said,"Just in front..." when we told him our destination. And the meter hadn't even jumped a single cent!

We gobbled down some food immediately upon reaching. The service was not good. When I requested for more chilli oil in the ma la soup, the waitress said," Got enough inside already!" Ultimate! They were underhanded, and think that was why service was not prompt. Sigh. The ma la soup base was not really good. The one in Beijing was nice. Here, it wasn't ma. They put too little of that hua jiao already. Somemore it wasn't that spicy. All and all, the dinner was not worth for the $40 we paid.
