Oh yeah!! It was such a happy day! I finally got my driving license!! Woke up at 545am and was there for my warm-up session at 725am. As told by my previous instructors, I will get a newer car. Well, the touch of the car wasn't that good. But wasn't too bad either. So went to do the circuits for one time and went outside on the roads for a while. The warm-up session was so short! I thought it would be longer, but it was barely half an hour!
Stomach in a knot, hands shivering... That's what I always get before a test or exam - Nervousness. I hate this kind of feeling. Stomache will follow, and then will need to go toilet. Then followed by a full bladder. Shucks. Since young, I can never calm myself down.
So there I went into the waiting room. Balloted for my test route. 9!! A route I've only practised once!!! But lucky me, didn't kena 6 and 7 - the most difficult route of the 10 routes.
The tester came, called out my name, and I led him to the car. Did everything as per normal, adjusted the seat, mirrors, and put on the seat belt.... everything with a bit of nervousness. Then he asked me to turn left into the circuit even before he put on his seat belt. He felt my nervousness and told me not to be nervous. I attempted to turn left at a junction and he said," Go Straight! I didn't ask you to turn!!" I thought it was gone case already. Not following instructions constitutes an immediate failure!
I did ok on the slope! I didn't slide backwards! Everything seemed so fast, one after another. Parking was good! I got all the sighting points accurately. The tester was the "gan chiong" type. Kept asking me to go on even before I finished one part of the circuit. Maybe he wanted to see if I would react rashly to his instructions. But overall, he didn't have a happy face. His face was quite "black".
The road outside was good. Didn't have to do much lane-change. Good traffic too! Overtook a bus from the back into the filter lane to the left. Was really close to the bus rear. One car even gave way to me when I needed to lane-change to the right. Without realising, I was back at the driving center again, and followed the tester upstairs to the police department. We went into a room, sat down, and unexpectedly, he threw my IC back at me. I was shocked. It was so rude to throw! Humpf!! And didn't even debrief me on what and how I faired. Not even a word. Nonetheless, I thanked him out of politeness and went back to the office to close my account and get some paper work done. However, thinking back, I think he was very lenient with me. Oh ya, HAHA! I passed with 12 points. Demerit on speed too slow for traffic conditions, failure to use engine brake (which I think I did use everytime!!), inappropriate gear (due to tester's sudden change of instructions) and failure to position my vehicle properly (which I guess is while waiting for the right-turn). Sigh. I could have done better if not for my stupid nervousness.
Carried on to watch a video, then went back to pay for the driving license. Relieved. How not easy it is to get this card. And expensive. But I'm so glad it's over. When I was leaving the driving center, sadness overwhelms me. I am actually quite sad. It means no more driving lessons, no more meeting my instructors, no more taking bus 8 and changing buses to the center, no more walking past the security, no more paying 10 cents for the toilet, no more looking for my numbered car and no more driving Toyota Soluna.

Pri Sch Gathering
Went for my primary school gathering on Sat. Unbelievable that we're still having gatherings? Actually this is the second time already. This time there weren't many people. Only 8 of us.
So here's the update, Meihui... who couldn't join us... And some names for you to recall:
Who went: Stella, Pamela, Chu-er, Zhiwei, De Yao, Jeremy, Bernard and I. Joscelyn joined us much later.
Those who couldn't go: YOU, Sihui, Zixiang, Roderick, Alan, Jiawei, Huiyee, Peiyi, Joseph Tan, Joseph Yoong, Jason.
Those on the forgot-list: Yu Tian, Tan Wee, Bao Cui and Terence Chua.
Oh by the way! Ou Chun Kit is in NTU!!! ARGGHHH!! HAHA! I saw him last week!!
Joscelyn is now an air-stewardess, like Huiyee. Peiyi is undergoing training now. So many friends are air-stewardess. Ah hui, you missed out quite a lot of fun and updates. We went to eat at Rice Table, then went to Paulaner for drinks. Too bad we didn't take any photographs. Or else you would have seen their pretty and handsome faces. Zhiwei indeed has a gf now - an NIE grad. Bernard too, gf is an EDB scholar like him. Jeremy is still single, having flings once in a while. Pamela has grad, working as an accounts assistant now. Chu-er and Stella are in SIM.
Been quite busy with my stuff lately. Driving lessons, reading on FYP stuff, tutorials and music theory!! Sigh. I wished I had more time!
I saw Teck Wee in Canteen A today, Jiehui saw him first. Such suay-ness to see him. And even more suay to meet face to face in the library after lunch. I did try to smile, but he didn't respond. Maybe my smile was too vague and not obvious? Or maybe he didn't see cos' he is short-sighted? But I think the more probable answer is that he doesn't want to smile to me. =( Then the incident recollected in my head when we met on the MRT and so happened to sit beside each other, and he stood up and walked away from me. Sigh. Such a guy with no "du liang".
Alwyn stays near me again. From my window, I can see his room. Saw him in school on the first day of school last week. I'm so glad we are still friends. =)

School is STARTING in 3 days!!!
ARGH!! School is starting this coming Monday! I'm not ready for school yet!! And once school starts, it's trips to library AGAIN! With notes to print, copy and buy. And textbooks to buy! And there will be ultra-crowded library and canteen and bookshops! Hate it man! Especially the freshies being super kiasu (like I once was)!! School is always overcrowded when school starts especially when a new year starts with all the blur sotong freshies bumming around. And before you know it, quizzes, projects, deadlines and EXAMS!!!! ARGHHH~~!!
I finally booked my driving practical test date - 11th August, 825am!! The warm-up session is at 725am!! My goodness! So early. And somemore bus-lanes will be activated! Plus the morning heavy traffic at Ubi area!! My goodness, I hope I will be lucky.

8030th day on Earth
The 22nd year on Earth! Happy Birthday Jessica! My FOC committee sang me a birthday song and a chocolate cake yesterday after FOC's BBQ. Thank you ALL! ^_^ Hee... the cake was chosen by Adrian. Haha... First time I heard a guy chose cake and first time a guy chose a cake for me!!
FOC break camp yesterday night at Nanyang rooftop after a BBQ session. The whole camp wasn't that fantastic as the past 3 years'. This camp wasn't that fun and the people, especially the committee members weren't that enthusiastic as before. I only took less than 10 photographs during the camp. It was quite a pity that I didn't take more photos during SP Nite. Sigh. All the photos I took were group photos.
Besides that, I lost my voice on the second day of camp! Been feeling feverish even before the camp itself. But I guess the lack of rest during camp worsen my condition. Hence, my voice was totally lost on the third day. My friend bought "liang cha" with medicine added in, black colour and bitter on SP Nite. Eeks. But I finished the whole bottle. Quite touched by her concern. Thanks baby.
First year anniversary to my blog~!

One More!
Learnt vertical and parallel parking today! Haha. Not bad. Not as difficult as I thought. I think the most important in driving is to know the half-clutch position and able to maintain slow speed. Haha, I spent 1 full lesson doing the half-clutch the last time. I got the same instructor today again! Haha, sometimes, you just have to believe in fate. Hence, and hopefully, after the next driving lesson, I'll be able to book for my practical test date. ;)
FOC is starting coming Monday. Guess going to be shacked after that. Actually camp is nothing. But after camp is. Right after camp will be my friend's violin exam. 1 week without practise, I hope I can still make it perfect. Most important is not to hurt my hand.
And 1 week without driving lessons. Haha, hope won't lose the skills!
AND, 1 week without touching my music theory! Guess gonna get slaughtered by my teacher. And I'm quite anxious about the October exam. Roughly 3 months more only. Sigh.

Simple Yet Busy
Ok! Glad to say: I finally bought 2 pairs of slippers at one go! Finally I can walk out of my house with s-l-i-p-p-e-r-s!! Sounds pathetic. But have you ever thought of living without the simplest thing which are your slippers?
Lucky lucky me, I got the same driving instructor for the 4th time today! Haha, he even recognises me. But he's a really nice man - patient, kind, filled with smiles, and treats me sweets. Hope I get him tomorrow again!! If nothing goes wrong, I'll be able to book for my practical test after 3 more lessons. Hee. Tomorrow going to learn vertical parking. Think parking isn't easy.
Bugged by Prudential people again! They're really everywhere!!! And I can't seem to avoid them! Argh!!

Parcel
Wooo!! I got my parcel from HK today! Haha, it's from Hacken Lee International Fan Club. Yeah, the membership card and "uniform" came. Such a big envelop. It's a white windbreaker with fluorescent orange wordings reading "Hacken Lee International Fan Club". Eeks? Ya, quite, but I think it will look nice if it is worn during his concerts.
Daddy went to collect his new car today - Toyota Camry. I haven't taken a look yet cos' I was back very late. Will take a ride tomorrow morning to NTU, hee.

First Hacken Poster
My friend went to HK recently and bought me a Hacken's poster as my birthday present!!! I'm so happy!! I love it! It's the first poster of him I have! It is the picture similar to his latest CD - Smart I.D. Can you imagine such a loyal fan like me only own the first poster after so many years?? I'm so elated.
Well, the posting for FYP is out. I, got my first choice:
Description: PLGA and a-TCP are both biodegradable. When they are used alone, the mechanical and biological properties are not desirable. Composites of the two components, if combined properly, would show interesting properties. The objective of this project is to study the effect of the TCP content on the viscosity of the mixed slurry and the resultant coating quality.
Methodology: Produce a-TCP powder (or bioglass?). Dehydrate the powder. Dissolve PLGA in an organic solvent. Produce mixed slurry. Do dip coating on set or sintered CPC. Drying in vacuum. Hydrothermal treatment? Characterization.
Is it merely luck? Or that nobody chose this project such that I could get it so easily? NTU school stuff doesn't excite me anymore, cos' I have given up hope on the education system. Hence, any project I got doesn't really matter to me at all. Well, heaven may be on my side this time after a terrible IA period. It may be the time for me to "salty fish turned upside down" - meaning to climb out of the dark period.
I guess, I gotta go email my supervisor and ask for some advice first.
I bought a new piano book today. A very fantastic book! And most important of all, it contains the song I have been looking for for some time! Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata, full song. But it is an extremely difficult song to master. I give myself 1 year to master it. Hopefully I can make it. Gotta train my left hand, cos' the song needs a very agile left hand.

Busy Busy
Driving has been almost enjoyable till now. Much more confident on the roads now. Drove from Ubi to Tampines. Hee. Reaching 70km/h. Hee.
My cousin and grandma went back to Malaysia. Very happy that they were here to accompany me for a week. Haha. Went to catch Spiderman 2 on the first day of its run. It was full house at the PS cinema. Very very excellent show!! Must not miss it!! Waiting for Spiderman 3 now. Whahah!!
FOC is getting nearer. Preparations almost there. Sigh. Sian.
Practising on the piano accompaniment for my friend's violin exam. Better do well on my part, regardless of his performance. At least I won't be a cause if he ever failed! *cross fingers*
Kena a hall office email. Trying to get me out of my room. Crazy fellow. The new occupant obviously complained to the hall office. The story goes like this: Existing occupants can move in from 7th July onwards, if want to move earlier, will have to depend on the availability of keys. Well, 7th is a Wed. So I was thinking to move during the weekends, which is Sat and Sun. And it is already the earliest I can make it. So 12th, a Monday, is the earliest I can return my key. So what the hell is the girl complaining? Hence the email was asking for the reason why I am returning my keys so late. Crazy rite? I replied the email explaining my reasons, and there were no more emails. I won.
My piano student quit. Great. Lame. Sian. I expected it. But really quite angry, told me only today like 3 hours before the lesson. And said will post the salary to the agency. So I only made $60 for the month. Cos' agency gets 50% commission. Haiz. Not even enough to cover my transport fees. What the heck.
Can't stand my email inbox... urgh!! Kept getting virus mails.
Ok, time to cure my empty stomach. Grrr...
